Kathmandu – The South Asian Football Confederation (SAFF) Executive Committee meeting held in Kathmandu has decided to hold the SAFF Championship 2025 from July 15 to 25.
The SAFF Executive Committee meeting approved the awarding of the marketing rights of SAFF competitions to commercial partner SportFive, and also stated that there is a possibility of extending the collaboration until 2029.
The meeting also decided to hold the SAFF Championship in a home-and-away format. Similarly, the meeting also decided to hold the first SAFF Club Championship in 2026. It will include 8 clubs from South Asia. Out of the eight teams, the country ranked top in the AFC club rankings will get two places.
Similarly, preparations are underway to hold a women’s competition in 2025. The decision to hold the SAFF U-23 Championship in 2026 has also been approved.
