The government has made it mandatory to fill in the self-declaration form for those who going for foreign employment through individual labor permit. As the result of many Nepalese being stranded abroad government has declared the mandatory provision of self declaration form.
The Department of Foreign Employment has made an arrangement to fill the self-declaration form to those who have taken visit visa and personal labor permit in the name of foreign employment, after seeing the tendency of being stranded, cheated and forced to pay more than the fee prescribed by the government.
For the time being, those going to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Croatia, Albania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, Moldova and Belarus and those seeking individual labor permits must fill out a self-declaration form. .
Workers going on foreign employment in person will have to fill such self-declaration only after getting the labor permit. The department has stated that the arrangement will be implemented from April 14. The department has implemented the provision in accordance with the guideline on the process of obtaining individual labor permit-2069 BS.
Workers going for foreign employment in the individual labor permit should submit a copy of the passport, a copy of the entry permit issued by the concerned government, a copy of the contract or agreement clearly stating employment service, conditions, facilities and salary (remuneration) to the embassy.
The department urges to submit a copy of the employer’s license registration certificate or a copy of the sponsor’s identity card, a copy of the employer’s trade license or a copy of the employer’s passport or identity card in the case of private workers and a brief description of the company in the case of workers going to the organization.
Individuals going for personal labor will have to submit documents translated into English through the employer company or sponsor to the embassy for verification.
