Kathmandu – Speaker of the House of Representatives Devraj Ghimire has called a meeting of the chief whips of the major parties today to discuss issues including the ordinance.

The second parliament meeting of the winter session is being held on Thursday, amid strong opposition from opposition parties to the ordinance brought by the government. Therefore, discussions are being held with the party chief whips to discuss the controversial issues.

The meeting is scheduled to be held at Singha Durbar at 3 pm today, according to the Speaker’s secretariat.
