Talks between ‘No Cable Car’ group and government team inconclusive

Taplejung — Talks between the ‘No Cable Car’ group and the government negotiation team have ended without a conclusion.

Khagendra Makhim, a participant in the talks from the agitating group, has said that the talks with the government have ended without a conclusion. However, the coordinator of the government negotiation team, Prem Prasad Maharai, has said that more information will be provided by issuing a press release.

The No Cable Car group has said that the talks did not reach a conclusion after the government team raised the issue of where to place the poles and how to build the cable car structure while their demand is only to abolish the cable car construction .

The agitating group has proposed to form a ministerial-level negotiation committee and has said that if the talks are not successful, the agitating group will announce the program of the protest from tomorrow.
