Three Leaders of the Coalition in Baluwatar: Discussion on Alternatives to MCC amendment

The three top leaders of the ruling five-party alliance have discussed the option of revising the US aid project Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).

During the meeting between Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN-Maoist Central Committee Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal, in Baluwatar for the second time today, the option of modification was discussed.

According to sources, the Deuba-Prachanda-Nepal meeting discussed about taking initiative to modify MCC. According to a source, Prime Minister Deuba, who is in favor of passing the resolution as soon as possible, is also ready to discuss the option of amendment.

In this meeting, it is said that all the three leaders are in favor of not breaking the alliance as much as possible.
