According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Weather Forecasting Division today, there will be partly normal rain across the country. Light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning is likely at some places in Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province and Sudurpaschim Province and a few places in the rest of the province. There is also a possibility of heavy rain with thunder/lightning at one or two places in Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Pradesh.

At night, there will be partial to normal rain over the country. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning at a few places in Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province and Lumbini Province and one or two places in the remaining provinces. Heavy rain with thunder/lightning is likely at one or two places in Gandaki.

Due to heavy rains, there is a risk of soil erosion and landslides in the highlands. Also, it is requested to take necessary precautions as the water level may rise in the rivers and canals and the daily life/transport area may also be affected.
