While it is difficult for the parties to finalize the name of Province 2, the issue of finalizing the capital of the province is currently being taken forward by voting in the Provincial Assembly.

Where almost all the parties were agreed to make Janakpur the capital of the province, Voting took place as some lawmakers from Bara and Parsa proposed Birgunj as the capital of the province.

According to the parties, information has been received that the capital will be decided first and then the election will be held in the name of the state on the basis of consensus. It is said that voting will be held today in four names including Madhes Pradesh, Madhya Madhes, Janaki and Mithila Bhojpura.
