India wins first Test Match against Sri Lanka

India has won the first Test against Sri Lanka by 222 runs in an innings. India had scored 574 runs in the first innings test held in Mohali.

After Sri Lanka scored 352 runs in the first and second innings, India won by an innings and 222 runs.

With today’s victory, India has made a one-nil lead in the two-match series. Earlier, India had also carried out a ‘clean sweep’ of the T20 series against Sri Lanka.

Government reduced the gold import limit

Nepal Rastra Bank has reduced the gold import limit as foreign exchange reserves are declining.

The central bank has issued a notification today stating that only 10 kg of gold can be imported daily.

The Department of Foreign Exchange Management of the Bank has issued a circular today to the bodies that have been given permission to conduct foreign exchange business and instructed them to do the same as amended Section (4) of the Rules of Procedure on Gold Sale and Distribution, 2068 BS.

Prime Minister Deuba submitted an annual report to President Bhandari

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has submitted a report to President Vidyadevi Bhandari on the work done by the government in the last fiscal year.

Arriving at Shitalniwas today, he also submitted a report on the progress made by the government in implementing the directive principles, policies, and responsibilities of the state.

Similarly, Prime Minister and Chairman of the National Security Council Deuba also submitted the annual report of the council for the fiscal year 2077/78 to Bhandari, said Sameer Acharya, spokesperson of the President’s Office.
