Parliament(HoR) Meeting to be held at 1 pm today: MCC to be presented

The meeting of the House of Representatives is scheduled to be held at 1 pm today.

Today’s meeting of the House of Representatives has become a matter of national interest as the alliance has agreed to present MCC to parliament. According to the decision from the Nepali Congress meeting held yesterday, MCC will be presented at the parliament today.

Though the MCC was not mentioned in the agenda made public by the Parliament Secretariat, the leaders close to the Nepali Congress have said that the MCC will also be included in the agenda of the Parliament sitting from the work arrangement committee meeting to be held at 11 am today.

Meanwhile, the main opposition party UML has said that it will disrupt today’s meeting of the House of Representatives.
CPN-UML has been boycotting the previous meetings demanding the dismissal of 14 Socialist MPs including Madhav Nepal, and the resignation of the Speaker.

According to sources in the Federal Parliament Secretariat, the meeting of the House of Representatives scheduled for Wednesday has been postponed. The meeting was postponed due to disagreement between the parties as the US Economic Assistance Project Millennium Challenge Compact was being prepared to be tabled in Parliament. The meeting has been postponed at the last minute after the Parliament Secretariat made public the possible agenda of the House of Representatives.
