Six parties and two fronts to besiege the parliament against MCC

Six communist parties and two fronts are going to hold demonstrations across the country and surround the parliament building against MCC .
A joint statement issued by the six political parties and a front stated that it is their duty to protect national independence by dismissing the MCC at any cost. Situation has highly escalated after MCC been tabled last week.

Netra Bikram Chand (Biplava) led CPN, Mohan Vikram Singh led CPN Masal, Mohan Vaidya led CPN-Revolutionary Maoist, Rishi Kattel led CPN, Chitra Bahadur KC led Rastriya Janamorcha, CP Gajurel led Patriotic People’s Democratic Front, Ahuti led Scientific Socialist Communist Party and Karnajit Budhathoki led CPN and the Maoist Central Socialists have said that they will besiege the parliament building today against MCC.

Government tightening security against the possible protests against MCC

The government has instructed the entire security department to maintain a high-level alert to maintain peace and security in the country in view of possible protests against the MCC.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has directed all 77 District Administration Offices, Police Headquarters, Armed Police Force and National Investigation Department to maintain peace and security with high alert.

The ministry issued the notice after various parties and fronts including the CPN (Revolutionary Maoist) organized a protest program against the agreement with the MCC.
