Kathmandu – The government has issued a cyber security advisory for employees.
The government has issued a cyber security advisory for employees after the threat of cyber attacks on official websites and other systems of government bodies has increased in recent times.
In the advisory issued for users of government information technology systems, it has been directed to make arrangements to change passwords every three months and
not to use passwords that cannot be easily guessed.
It has also been directed to use only the cyber security tools used in their bodies with proper configuration and security hardening, and to make arrangements to mandatorily conduct security checks of the systems at least once a year and to maintain audit logs of the same.
