Nepal defeated in the first match of the women’s T20I series

Kathmandu – The home team Nepal has been defeated by 20 runs in the first match of the tri-nation T20 series against the Netherlands at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.

Chasing a target of 158 runs given by the Netherlands for the loss of four wickets in 20 overs, the Nepali team managed to score 137 runs for the loss of only seven wickets in 20 overs.

For Nepal, Sita Rana Magar scored the highest score of 28 runs in 45 balls with three fours, while Kavita Joshi contributed 27 runs with one four and two sixes in 17 balls. Similarly, Pooja Mahato managed to add 24 runs, while Pooja hit two fours and a six in 14 balls. Samjhana Khadka scored 9 runs with one four in 11 balls, captain Indu Verma scored seven runs in 10 balls, Kavita Kunwar scored 8 and former captain Rubina Chhetri scored a total of 11 runs.
