Kathmandu – Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has called a cabinet meeting today. The meeting has been called to be held at 4 pm today at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar.
The meeting will discuss the regular work of the government. It is said that some decisions including appointments and promotions will be made from the meeting.
The Office of the President has stated that the new ministers have been appointed on the recommendation of the Prime Minister in accordance with Article 76, Clause 9 and Article 78, Clause 1 of the Constitution. Implementing the decision of the CPN-Unified Socialist Party to recall the old ministers from the party and appoint new ones, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has reconstituted the cabinet.The CPN-Unified Socialist has included new faces in the cabinet after a long-running internal dispute within the party over the issue of ministerial reshuffle.
Urban Development Minister Ram Kumari Jhankri, Health and Population Minister Birodh Khatiwada, Labor Minister Kishan Shrestha and Tourism Minister Prem Ale have been recalled and the new faces of the Unified Socialists Jeevan Ram Shrestha, Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Metmani Chaudhary, Minister of Urban Development, Sher Bahadur Kunwar, Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Security, Bhavani Khapung, Minister of Health and Population, and Hira KC, Minister of State for Health and Population has been appointed as the new ministers.
