Today’s agenda of the House of Representatives meeting

Kathmandu – Today’s meeting of the House of Representatives under the federal parliament will be held at 1 pm at the Parliament Building, New Baneshwor.

Today’s agenda includes the presentation of the ‘Annual Report of the National Natural Resources and Finance Commission, 2080/81’ by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

In the assembly, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel will present a proposal to ‘discuss the Secure Transactions (First Amendment) Bill, 2080 along with the report of the Finance Committee.’

Similarly, the Finance Minister will present a proposal to ‘pass the Secure Transactions (First Amendment) Bill, 2081’.

Federal Parliament’s winter session begins today

Kathmandu- The winter session of the federal parliament is set to convene at the International Convention Centre, New Baneshwor, at 1:00 PM today.

This session is also regarded as the “bill session.”The Federal Parliament Secretariat has released the tentative agenda for both Houses. According to Secretariat Spokesperson Ekram Giri, the agenda includes the Speaker reading various letters from the President, including one regarding the commencement of the session.Additionally, as per Rule 10 of the House of Representatives Regulation, 2079, the Speaker will nominate a member to chair the meeting. Lawmakers will also deliver statements on behalf of their respective parties, following established practice.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will present the Ordinance to Amend Certain Nepal Acts Related to Promoting Good Governance and Public Service Delivery, 2081. Similarly, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel will introduce the Ordinance on Financial Procedure and Fiscal Responsibility (First Amendment), 2081, the Ordinance on Privatization (First Amendment), 2081, and the Ordinance to Amend Certain Nepal Acts Related to Improving the Economic and Business Environment and Investment Promotion, 2081.

Meanwhile, Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives, and Poverty Alleviation Bal Ram Adhikari is scheduled to present the Ordinance to Amend Certain Nepal Acts Related to Cooperatives, 2081 and the Ordinance to Amend Certain Nepal Acts Related to Land Management, 2081.The Speaker will also table various condolence motions. Additionally, the National Assembly agenda includes the presentation of the Media Council Bill and the report of the Committee on the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Bill, 2081.

Parliament session begins today

Kathmandu – The winter session of the Federal Parliament is starting today. Seven possible agendas have been set for the meeting of the House of Representatives, which is scheduled for 4 pm.

At the beginning of the meeting, Speaker Devraj Ghimire will read out the details of the letter received from the President. After that, he will read out the letter regarding assignment of duties received from the office of the President and the letter regarding assignment of duties received from the office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.

According to the Parliament Secretariat, the agenda for the Speaker to nominate the members who will preside over the meeting according to the House of Representatives Rules 2079 has been decided. Likewise, the Electronic Business Bill, 2080 and the National Dignity Bill, 2079 will be tabled in the National Assembly.

Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat will introduce the Financial Procedure and Fiscal Responsibility (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2080 and Law Minister Dhanraj Gurung has issued an agenda to submit an order to remove obstacles according to section 42 of the Investigation, Truth and Reconciliation Commission Act, 2071 issued by the decision of the Council of Ministers.

Parliament meeting to be held at 1 pm today

A meeting of the House of Representatives is scheduled to be held at 1 pm today.

The probable agenda of today’s meeting of the House of Representatives has also been made public.According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is scheduled to present the 21st annual report of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority in the meeting to be held at 1 pm today.

Also, a meeting of the Work Advisory Committee will be held at 11:30 am.
