Lamichhane to High Court against the verdict set by Kaski district court

Pokhara – Rastriya Swatantra Party President Rabi Lamichhane has approached the Pokhara High Court against the Kaski District Court’s decision to release Rabi on a bail of Rs 6.5 million on Poush 10, saying he is not satisfied with the court’s order in the Surya Darshan Cooperative fraud case in Pokhara.

On the one hand, the Office of the High Government Attorney has filed a petition in the Pokhara High Court against the District Court’s order to release Rabi on bail, demanding that Rabi be kept in custody and investigated, while on the other hand, Lamichhane has approached the High Court saying he is not satisfied with the District Court’s order.

Arrested from Kathmandu on Kartik 2 and brought to Pokhara, Lamichhane was released on a bail of Rs 6.5 million on Poush 10 after an indictment was filed for cooperative fraud, organized crime and money laundering in the Surya Darshan Cooperative fraud case.

Cooperative victims filed complaint against Rabi Lamichhane and Dipesh Pun

Kaski – A complaint has been lodged at District Police Office Kaski against three people including Rabi Lamichhane, president of Rastriya Swatantra Party and Dipesh Pun,son of former Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun in the case of co-operative fraud.

The depositors of Pokhara’s Suryadarshan Savings and Loan Cooperative have filed a complaint against Rabi Lamichhane, president of Rastriya Swatantra Party , Dipesh Pun, the son of former Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun, Gyan Bahadur Bamjan, the former president of the cooperative, and various 15 companies.

As the District Police Office Kaski has already registered a complaint on the same issue, District police now has said that the complaint will be investigated as a supplementary application.

Earlier, the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) has issued a diffusion notice against three people on charges of cooperative fraud. A notice was issued against Suryadarshan Cooperative founder president Gitendrababu (GB) Rai, current president Than Bahadur Budhamgar and former president Bhupendra Rai.

A complaint was lodged at the District Police Office Kaski on the allegation that 19 people including Rai had embezzled more than one billion from the cooperative and the case is now under investigation.
